Ismail A. Shahid, a resident of Philadelphia, holds degrees in business law and accounting from Pierce College. As the Founder and Principal of Cornerstone Strategies, he leverages his robust background in innovation and finance to provide businesses with strategic consulting.

Mr. Shahid has held various leadership positions across the business sector, demonstrating his effective management skillset. His entrepreneurial vision and strategic approach have significantly contributed to the success and growth of multiple industries. Through innovative thinking, Mr. Shahid has consistently driven positive change and operational efficiency within the organizations he has led.

His business acumen is complemented by his active involvement in civic engagements. Appointed by Mayor Jim Kenney, he serves on the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA), where he applies his financial expertise to address significant housing challenges. Mr. Shahid also holds key board positions, including on the Philadelphia Police Foundation and the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, following an appointment by Governor Tom Wolf. He contributes to the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority (PEDFA) through an appointment from PA Democratic House Majority Leader Joanna E. McClinton and Chairs the Board VestedIn a local Philadelphia and Surrounding Counties CDFI Institution. Additionally, he is the Vice-Chair of the Philadelphia Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA).
